In accordance with the
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), all TRAX buses are lift equipped
and wheelchair accessible.

ADA Paratransit Service is
provided by ParaTRAX in the greater Red Bluff area and by Deviated
Routes outside of the ParaTRAX service area. See
ParaTRAX & Deviated
Routes sections for more information and conditions
(see below). ADA certified riders also
receive a reduced rate fare on all available public transportation
services.

Most individuals who cannot use a
regular fixed route public bus because of a disability are eligible for
ADA certification. If you believe that you may be eligible,
click here to view or download the
application in PDF format
(requires Adobe Acrobat Reader), pick up an application from any bus
driver, or call 385-BUSS and one will be mailed to you. You can also
arrange for the information to be taken by telephone or via TDD.
Other ADA information:

Dial-a-ride transit service
in the greater Red Bluff area. ParaTRAX is a "rideshare" program --
rides are booked in advance, routed as efficiently as possible, and
the bus is shared with other riders (which may lengthen ride times).
ParaTRAX is NOT a taxi service and priority
for rides goes to seniors and persons with disabilities (the
General Public is encouraged to ride TRAX). Advance reservations are
required for ParaTRAX and there is an additional charge for same-day
service.
Riders are required to book pickup
and return trips at the same time. Special discounted fares are
available for seniors and the disabled with proper identification.
See ParaTRAX section for more information and conditions.

(Service for disabled riders outside of the Red Bluff ParaTRAX
service area) Regularly scheduled TRAX buses will deviate up
to 3/4 of a mile off the regular routes to provide rides to persons
with disabilities who have Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
certification. Advance reservations are required and certain
limitations apply. See Deviated Routes section for more information
and conditions. |
