Deviated Route Info

Espaņol

Description of Service
Service for disabled riders outside of the ParaTRAX service area.
Regularly scheduled Regional TRAX buses will deviate up to 3/4 of a mile off the regular routes to provide rides to persons with disabilities who have Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certification.

Hours & Days of Service
Deviated route service is operated in conjunction with regular TRAX regional routes. Please see individual regional route schedules for operating hours in your area.

3-Minute Wait Time
The bus will wait 3 minutes from the time of arrival. Drivers are not allowed to honk the horn, so you need to be watching for the bus.

Cancellation & No-Shows
Please cancel reservations as far in advance as possible. Anyone who fails to cancel a ride in advance or does not board the bus within the 3-minute wait time is considered a "No Show". Three no-shows in a 30-day period will result in a 30-day suspension of service.

Restrictions
Vehicles can not travel on most gravel or dirt roads, alleys, driveways, private roads, narrow cul-de-sacs, parking lots, etc.

Reservations
24-Hour Advance Reservations Are Required For Pickup And Return Trips and must coincide with regularly scheduled TRAX routes.

Reservations will be accepted up to seven days prior to the day of service. Subscription service (on-going reservations for repetitive trips) will be provided on a limited, space-available basis.

Reservation Hours
Reservations will be taken seven (7) days per week between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Reservation requests may be left on the answering machine on days when the office is closed.

Pick-Up Time
The bus may arrive up to 15 minutes before or after the scheduled time. For example, if your scheduled pickup time is 8:00 a.m., the bus may arrive any time between 7:45 - 8:15 a.m.

Companion Reservations
Reservations for companions who will accompany an ADA-certified individual will be accepted to the extent that seating is available. Companions pay the same fare as the ADA-certified passenger.
